Swinging September.

I can’t believe how fast September has gone by. It’s October, then November then it’s a new year again. It’s been a year since we’ve gone on an epic Europe trip and tomorrow D and I embark on another one, this time to the States for a wedding and some touring on the west coast. Hopefully I won’t backlog as badly as Europe (I obviously still have more to put up!!)

In other news, I have gotten my Facebook page up! Click through and like! (: tngying.com is now up as well! Haven’t had too much time to do something elaborate, but hopefully in the coming weeks so stay tuned!

Please pray for us as we travel around, for journey mercies and for safe travels!

Will promise to bring back stories and lots of photos!

The Love of God.

Was reading this this morning, and it really struck me, after all these years, and years to come, will we ever comprehend the way in which God loves us? We can make all the studies of as many Bible versus and write academic paper after paper, yet, we still fall short of understanding how, what and why. This in itself, is a miracle, don’t you think?

Many years ago, a man living in an insane asylum died and was carried to his grave. When they were cleaning out his room they found some words written on the patient’s wall. This is what he had written …

Could we with ink the ocean fill

And were the skies of parchment made

Were every stalk on earth a quill

And every man a scribe by trade

To write the love of God above

    Would drain the ocean dry

Nor could the scroll contain the whole

Though stretched from sky to sky

These amazing words were eventually incorporated as a verse in a well-known hymn about the love of God.

It is one thing to know that “God is love” and quite another to know that God loves you. If you could only grasp how much God loves you, it could change your life … and provide a strong foundation for you to have what it takes to truly love others.

The question I’d like to ask you today is not, “How much do you love God?” … but “Do you realize how much God loves you?”

God’s love … think about it.

A wish and a prayer.

This weekend, I took a really quick getaway to Penang to watch one of my oldest friends get married. K & G, I’m absolutely glad that I made it up to watch you both tie the knot. The wedding was gorgeous and intimate, God was good with the weather and everything just fell in place. K, we’ve had good times growing up, and I never thought that I’d be watching you say your vows so soon! The both of you look so happy, and I know that you’re going to make G the happiest and luckiest girl (: and you definitely deserve that extra portion of grace (haha). G, you were absolutely beautiful, and have the most gracious heart, you’re the perfect complement to K. I’m so happy for the both of you! Here’s another yum seng to you both, and I’ll be seeing you again, sometime soon. We’ll try to make our catch ups more regular alrighty?

xx,

Friends...

Grow up and old with you (buck teeth to braces to first paychecks and more)…

Watch you eat 10 man tous with chilli crabs and never give you a judging look…

Laugh at stupid ‘elec-tree-sheety’ jokes with you…

Are more than willing to give you a big smile…
Come all the way to Singapore to make you stay out late and think about taking sickies…
Eat copious amounts of sugar with you without thinking about the consequences…

Stick with you every step of the way.
That’s the bottom line.

Built to last.

Beautiful day, gorgeous people, wonderful light…I’m running out of adjectives. S and R are getting married soon - I love their energy, their never-ending store of smiles and fun, I can’t wait! Plus, Oscar and Nikki, the two westies were such a pleasure to shoot! (: R also made so many props and brought so many ideas, kudos to her for adding so much colour to today! Love you guys! x.
